Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy

"Is being neurodivergent leaving you feeling out of step with the world—struggling to be seen, heard, and supported for who you truly are?"

neurodiversity, adhd, ASD

If you’re neurodivergent in any way, you may have spent much of your life masking, self-monitoring, or feeling misunderstood. You don’t need to change who you are to feel better.

At MF Therapy, PLLC, I offer a compassionate, validating space where your neurodivergence is honored, not pathologized. This is a space where you can show up unmasked, without judgment or pressure to “fit in.”

What Neurodivergent Clients Often Experience

  • Exhaustion from masking or performing in social, academic, or work environments

  • Anxiety, burnout, or emotional overwhelm

  • Executive functioning challenges or difficulty managing everyday tasks

  • Sensory sensitivities and overstimulation

  • Late-in-life identification or diagnosis, and trying to make sense of your past

  • Shame, internalized ableism, or feeling “too much”

  • A longing to be seen without having to explain yourself

Whether you're formally diagnosed, self-identified, or exploring, you are welcome here exactly as you are.

What Is Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy?

This therapy doesn’t aim to “fix” you. It’s about creating a safe space to understand, accept, and support your authentic self.

At MF Therapy, our approach is:

  • Validating – Your lived experience is real and respected. I believe you.

  • Relational – I work collaboratively, with you leading the pace and direction.

  • Trauma-Informed – I recognize how systemic bias, social exclusion, and invalidation can leave lasting wounds.

  • Identity-Affirming – Your neurotype, culture, gender, and lived experience are centered in our work together.
